Elementus is a data-first pioneer focused on solving the biggest challenges in crypto. Backed by the most comprehensive data set in the market and patented algorithms built to trace the flow of funds, we're able to provide powerful visualization of on-chain activities and insightful analytics so our customers can unlock both the power and promise of blockchain.
Whether starting out with compliance, looking to assess bad actor risk, or interested in valuable insights on which to build out a web3 strategy, our platform provides customers with a 360-degree view of data and the deep attribution capabilities needed to start and scale their business on the blockchain with confidence.
We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Sr. Blockchain Data & Analytics Expert who shares our passion for blockchain data and the endless opportunities this data presents.
About The Role
In this high visibility and high-impact role, you'll be working closely with our CEO and Founder on solving complex data science problems leveraging public blockchain transaction data. We're looking for someone who can serve as a force multiplier for our CEO by bringing top-notch problem-solving capabilities, a deep understanding of blockchain technology, and an insatiable curiosity.
This is not your average startup role, though. You'll have unparalleled access to the best blockchain data available and will be working on challenging problems that often face tight deadlines. Members of our team will count on you as the go-to expert for not only analyzing and visualizing blockchain data but also crafting compelling accompanying narratives. As a result, you'll be expected to frequently recalibrate and reprioritize your work as new requests surface, take ownership of deliverables, and ensure they are completed on time and adhere to a high standard.
While this role does come with its challenges, you'll have a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of blockchain data from a leading industry expert. Most of all, you'll get to help build a company embarking on a mission to be a data-first pioneer focused on solving the biggest-and most complex-challenges in crypto. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to have you join our team of fellow blockchain data nerds (we say that adoringly)!
What You'll Focus On
Support our CEO and Founder on key blockchain data analyses (e.g., customer presentations, content preparation) and other high priority initiatives as they arise, and often working under tight deadlines
Serve as the Company's go-to expert for in-depth on-chain data analysis; this means that you'll be able to answer complex questions from our team by knowing what data needs to be analyzed on-chain (e.g., how much BTC has been withdrawn from a major exchange over the last week) and developing a narrative in conjunction with this information
Leverage your expertise of blockchain data and on-chain activity, along with the analysis you perform above, to determine what information needs to be pulled from the blockchain to inform our product strategy
Develop data science methods for deriving new insights from blockchain transaction data
Collaborate cross-functionally with the Sales team to develop comprehensive analyses that address customer and prospect questions, and periodically publish content for external audiences (e.g., company website, social media, etc.)
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience with a background in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitative fields
Past experience working with blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies
A deep understanding of how blockchains are organized and the different actors that engage on-chain (e.g., how is a peel chain leveraged, how are hot wallets connected across an exchange, etc.)
Ability to thrive at a fast-paced startup and operate independently in a highly ambiguous work environment
Passion for solving complex problems and a demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives using data and visualizations (e.g. you love telling powerful stories leveraging data)
Self-starter who can handle multiple projects at once, often balancing competing priorities, and seeing projects through to completion
Superior written and verbal communication; you have no problem documenting your work and explaining your logic, and you encourage others to challenge your assumptions
