Description

The Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), the leading global industry association for the blockchain technology ecosystem, is seeking an engaged, agile policy analyst to conduct critical research and execute key facets of our policy strategy. The role will have a heavy emphasis on research and writing; qualified candidates will be exceptional communicators interested in domestic and global blockchain and policy, ready to hit the ground running, and eager to become an integral part of a fast-paced organization bringing together leaders and companies to advance adoption of blockchain technology. Familiarity with the blockchain policy landscape and broader ecosystem is required for this role.

As a Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Track legislation and trends; maintain legislative database and coordinate legislative reviews
  • Research, analyze, draft, and recommend public policy positions aligned with GBBC’s mission
  • Prepare correspondence, including testimony, presentations, white papers, reports, letters and other forms of communications intended for internal and external audiences
  • Identify opportunities to raise awareness of GBBC in regulatory and legislative bodies domestically and abroad
  • Establish process for data collection and analysis to ensure data is consistent, complete, and that analysis is in line with current strategic priorities and focus
  • Conduct research on policy developments in the blockchain and digital asset space
  • Craft comprehensive weekly update on policy changes in the global blockchain landscape
  • Manage updates for the Global Standards Mapping Initiative (GSMI)
  • Execute additional core research to support the GBBC’s global activities
  • Create detailed and personalized panel briefs for GBBC events
  • Support policy related public and invite-only events around the world
  • Pursue and maintain professional and technical knowledge of the blockchain ecosystem by attending and monitoring educational events; reviewing relevant publications; establishing personal networks
  • Respond to additional duties as needed.

Skills

  • Blockchain experience and familiarity with the policy landscape
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; advanced degree preferred
  • Exemplary communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work within tight timelines with high quality output
  • Demonstrated experience in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional project management skills with a high degree of accountability and organization
  • Extreme attention to detail; takes pride in and ownership of work and able to manage projects from concept through launch with very little supervision
  • A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on working on a variety of key initiatives concurrently

Compensation levels will vary based on experience
