The opportunity

In this global role, as the Director of Financial Services Blockchain product, you’ll be focused on product development. EY Blockchain delivers much of its’ value through our online blockchain SaaS applications, which are growing very quickly. You’ll be responsible for budgeting, planning, organizing, and helping drive all the agile engineering teams that move this forward. You’ll help align all the strategic directions with our budgeting and drive our products into use by audit and consulting teams. You’ll interface with the Service Line(s) to ensure build is aligned to client and market needs, manage revenue projections, lead and drive products within the context of broader product goals, strategy and roadmaps. You’ll incorporate data, research and market analysis to inform product requirements. You’ll develop an understanding of EY’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are aligned with our mission and recognized best in the industry. 

Your key responsibilities

The blockchain business has been growing at a phenomenal rate. In this role you will manage the operations of the blockchain team across service lines, geographies, and verticals. This role will be focused on building out our set of products focused on financial services. Your key responsibilities will include:
Possess an understanding of the detailed requirements of blockchain buyers in this space
Have knowledge of the technological requirements for expanding product
Understand the likely future direction of the blockchain market in financial services
Craft client requirements into product specifications
Lead and manage software teams

Skills and attributes for success

Product Management is a complex function especially with the many regulations and IT protocols that EY operates under. Our products are typically designed to operate globally which necessitates working closely with countries on a local level too. A key part of the role, you’ll be able to navigate the rules and regulations to ensure that we are fully compliant while at the same time defining and managing the Roadmaps and delivery teams. Judgement is often needed in trading speed versus quality, also ensuring that EY is regulatory compliant. 

To qualify for the role, you must have

12+ years of software and SaaS sales experience in a professional services or solution oriented environment
Blockchain financial services experience including DeFi
Software and SaaS sales experience
Blockchain asset management, analytics, and security experience
Major account management and business operations experience
Outsourcing, application development, technology program management experience (non-technical)
Expert client management and relationship skills, strong executive presence, expert influencing skills, including the ability to influence without authority
Solid understanding of the marketplace/industry, competitive intel and account information
Strong ability to handle and resolve conflict 
A University/Bachelor’s Degree 

Ideally, you’ll also have

An advanced degree or MBA
Strong coaching and mentoring skills
Ability to travel
