Overview

As part of the North America Digital team, this role is located in the Emerging Digital group covering the trends and innovation driving the evolution of digital payments that create direct impact on Mastercard's product strategy and commercialization. While the Emerging Digital team covers technologies including Blockchain and Digital assets, Biometrics and Secure Remote Commerce, this role is focused on Blockchain.

The Blockchain and Digital Assets group is leading Mastercard's cutting edge strategy to bring forward the future of payments technology and make it a reality. The team has a program of research and product development to drive our multi-rail strategy with the best of what blockchain has to offer.

The role includes program management, governance and product commercialization activities to support regional implementation goals and build readiness for scale, the person will also be a "go-to" contact for education, thought leadership, and regional product knowledge.

To deliver these objectives the role would involve working with colleagues in other teams in Product, Cyber & Intelligence and Data & Services.

Responsibilities

* Support the commercialization and regional development of innovative blockchain and digital asset solutions that have strategic fit and value to Mastercard's customers and partners, including evaluation of the business value of solution concepts for Mastercard and its customers
* Specific programs included in the role cover Crypto Card Programs, Approval Rates & Acceptance, NFTs and Metaverse and plus supporting future strategy for supporting digital currency on Mastercard rails
* Lead and develop product innovation and commercialization plans for incremental features to existing products to support Digital Payment priorities and goals
* Establish shared vision across the company by influencing and building consensus among the various stakeholders
* Understand technology trends in Digital and provide insight & analysis to the implications to Digital product and channel partners
* Work cross functionally with teams in C & I, Digital Asset and Digital to understand their product and services roadmap and assess the applicability and impact to the NAM region

All about you

* Experience in bringing new technology based products to market and developing key business deliverables
* Good understanding of payment ecosystem with current role of Mastercard
* Strong interest and knowledge of blockchain and crypto-currency ecosystems
* Good commercial insight, with experience of building a value proposition for all participants in a payments ecosystem, including Mastercard, our customers and partners.
* Excellent communication skills, with an ability to simplify and describe complex concepts and technologies to an audience of varied knowledge. This includes experience and comfort in working in cross-functional teams.
* A strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to a changing market landscape, and challenge the status quo.
* Sound judgement, based on good analytical skills and the ability to digest complex problems
* Highly organized with strong liking for detail
* Comfortable with ambiguity, and a changing and fast-paced environment
* Self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Experience leading cross-functional projects and teams effectively, delivering results
* Strong analytical skills and proven ability to tackle complex problems with the ability to set and meet deadlines

Education & Experience

* Bachelor's degree and 5 years relevant work experience; advanced degree desired
* Prior experience from either management consulting, crypto and/or payments industry, ecommerce or financial services with focus on experience in product management, commercialization & strategy
