Duties & Responsibilities

•As a part of an Agile team, engineer, develop and maintainClient Observability Infrastructure

•Work with the Team Lead and peers to clarify currentpriorities and scope of work

•Be a member of a Development Team practicing Scrum

Requirements

•Requires at least 2 years of DevOps experience

•Strong knowledge of at least one of the followingprogramming languages: Python, Go, Java, Scala, Rust; plus a desire to learnnew languages

•Strong hands-on Linux experience. System programmingexpertise or understanding of how container runtimes work is a big plus 

•Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud serviceproviders

•Experience setting up or using monitoring systems (Grafana,TICK Stack, Prometheus)

•Experience using cluster scheduler technologies(Kubernetes, Nomad, Mesos), or solid understanding of the concepts they operateupon

•Experience using service mesh technologies (Linkerd, Istio)to improve observability of services and infrastructure

•Understanding of distributed systems design principles (wewill ask you about consensus, and we don't mean blockchain)

•Customer-focused, team-oriented disposition

Educational Requirements

•B.S. in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science,Mathematics, Physics)

•Alternatively, equivalent industry experience in SoftwareDevelopment

•Experience with Telegraf

•Experience with GitOps approach

•Any other DevOps technologies, any prior DevOps experience

•Excellent communication and soft skills to interface withcustomers, peers, and management
