We're seeking a future team member in the role of Blockchain Security Architect to join our Digital Asset Information Security Team. This role is located in New York, NY - HYBRID.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

* Facilitate and participate in discussions of emerging security standards, current state, and emerging risk to our Digital Asset strategy.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures, and guidelines for Digital Asset security.
* Conduct threat modeling exercises across the Digital Asset environment and advise technology, business, and infrastructure teams on security best practices and guidelines for Digital Asset security.
* Advise on the design and implementation of Digital Asset solutions.
* Reviews and analyzes security assessments to provide insights, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
* Recommend course of action to mitigate risk and ensures that appropriate standards are established and published.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
* 10-12 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required.  Specialized, 5+ years in financial enterprise security with 3+ years on digital asset and blockchain technology.
* Experience completing secure code reviews for Digital Asset systems.
* Knowledgeable about secure multi-party computation (MPC/SMPC,) cryptographic protocols, key management and protection systems, techniques and processes.
* Experience with key, wallet and recovery solutions specific to digital assets.
* Threat Modeling and Red/Blue/Purple team experience.
* Experience completing secure code reviews for Digital Asset systems.
* Knowledge around blockchain and cryptocurrency forensics.
* Knowledge around cloud security, secure deployment pipelines, and infrastructure as code security.
* Knowledge around Systems Security (security architecture, application security, database security, network security, mobile security, cloud security, data center security, defensive development, SSDLC (secure software development life cycle), static code analysis, dynamic code analysis, system analysis).
* Knowledge around Enterprise Security (compliance, security strategy and tactics, physical security, security awareness training, threat and risk assessment, forensics, proactive and reactive corporate security programs).
* Experience with physical and operational security design.
* Knowledge around business continuity and disaster recovery for digital assets.
* Experience with cyber engineering, attack and malware analysis, security intelligence and research.
* Curious mind!
* Experience with MPC/Multi-Sig/SSS cryptography concepts.
* Experience designing custodial applications for digital assets.
* Blockchain engineering experience.
* Knowledgeable about public private key cryptography.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $108,000 and $242,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
